Training Article - The Back Of Your Business Card!Click Here To Print This Training Article In my real estate experience, I found the lady of the home made the decision to sell in 8 to 9 times out of 10 cases. It was usually the lady of the home who called to have me drop over to meet with her and her husband for the purpose of listing their home. Now this presented me with a tremendous opportunity to gain more listings and more referrals. You see, our customers are not really men and women. Rather it is mostly women! And we need to appeal to women just as much as the cosmetics industry is designed to attract women. How did I do this in real estate sales? Through the use of my business card and a direct mail piece sent into my farming area. Now since our audience is women, we need to ask a question. What are women interested in? Isn't it in looking their best? Sure it is! So I did some research and found out weight loss/control was extremely important, being ranked in the number 2 position behind family. So, with this in mind here is what I added to the back of my business card. The 3 Day Diet… Lose Up To 10 Pounds In 3 Days! And wow... suddenly calls came in to my office, with ladies wanting the diet! And I was happy to send them a copy of it! Did It Work? You bet! Just by sending out flyers into my farm area and giving the business card out as often as I could, I listed 23 homes within 12 months, and from those had 21 move-up sales for a total of 45 ends. But What About The Diet? The diets are easy to find. You can go to a local health food store, go online or even ask your doctor for a diet plan. If you have a prospect who is concerned with the safety of the diet, just have them review it with their doctor. Some other ideas for the back of your business card: 1. Offer a free CMA or other similar 'report'. Training Article Summary Remember, don't just waste the back of your business card. While this may not be the most effective of all the ways you can prospect, don't every pass up any opportunity to prospect, in the highly competitive real estate market, the difference between those who success and those who don't can be VERY LITTLE!
